Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has claimed that she sometimes breaks down in tears behind closed doors as she copes with the strains of fame and public scrutiny.
The actress told CNN in an interview about the inner problems that others don't see, despite her always being cheery in public.
I weep. I weep. Lock myself in the room Cry, break down Hit the bed But I just pick myself up and I come back to life,” said Akindele.
She also revealed that she sometimes questions her choices in life and worries about how people view her due to public opinion.
Sometimes I say to myself, you made another mistake.
How people will judge you?” she said.
But Akindele said she has learned to dust herself down and go on, without letting public criticism define her.
