Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has opened up about his dislike for rapping in English language.
In a recent episode of The Fuse, Sarkodie revealed that every time he raps in English, he always feels inferior.
He said he started rapping in English but moved to his native Twi because he feels better rapping in his local dialect. My superpower is rapping in Twi.
I can say things so much better in my mother language.
When I rap in my own tongue it brings out the emotions I want to send forth.
“I started rapping in English but when I rap in English I feel like I am below someone.
But when I rhyme in Twi, I think I’m on par with any rapper in the world,” he explained.
