Social media activist VeryDarkMan has called out artist Zlatan Ibile for using their public feud to market his music.
VeryDarkMan claimed the musician added a line to a previously recorded song to gain attention.
VDM asserted that Zlatan let the dispute get to him when some of his detractors began supporting the singer, implying that the incident was being utilised to generate publicity for the single.
VDM said in a video broadcast online that the song had already been recorded before Zlatan added the contentious part.
“They didn’t do that song before, they edited it back to put that verse in it so that the thing will blow up, which I don’t mind,” he stated.
He further argued that certain critics prompted Zlatan to take up the conflict and that Davido later entered the fray.
VDM also downplayed the size of Zlatan’s fan base, saying the singer had admirers, but did not have a large fan base that made him take the matter seriously.
He stated he liked Zlatan’s music and he had to accept that he has skill despite the criticism.
I adore his songs, Zlatan is a fantastic artist,” he said.
However, VDM insisted that the Mohbad saga was still one of the issues he had with the artist.
“Na that same Mohbad case wey make me no like Zlatan,” he continued.
