Arsenal are now three points clear at the top of the Premier League following a nerve-jangling 1-0 victory at Liverpool on Sunday evening.
The Gunners had walked out onto the Anfield turf knowing Manchester City had dropped points at home the day before.
City’s second league defeat in a row came against Brighton when they lost 1-0.
Arsenal’s winner came in the first half when Declan Rice’s low ball was knocked in by Kai Havertz.
The Reds tried to get level but Mikel Arteta’s side held firm to retain a clean sheet.
