Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola acknowledged he regretted the opening 15 minutes of their 1-0 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday.
The Reds controlled the opening passages of the contest at Anfield.
But Arsenal seized the lead in the 16th minute, with Kai Havertz finishing off a beautiful team play.
Liverpool tried to get at least an equaliser but the Gunners were resolute and took all three points.
"Disappointing for us," Iraola said BBC Radio 5 Live.
We certainly deserved to score, but we didn't.
“We’re disappointed with the first 15 minutes, until we conceded the goal.
But I loved it after. We were a little more braver and more aggressive and put them under strain.
"We had a few opportunities that we didn't execute well.
They’ve been solid defensively too.”
