Minister of Works, David Umahi has taken a swipe at socialite Cubana Chief Priest weeks after the socialite labelled him as the second worst minister that the Southeast has ever produced.
Umahi said this at a recent event where he condemned what he termed the rising culture of noise-making and ostentatious show of wealth.
He called the habit of always bragging about money a “Real wealth should be reflected in what a man has done, not in what he says.
We have become quite noisy producing. Always na money na water.
How much did you get? Have you ever seen water with money in it? Have you ever seen youngsters who say, “I have money,” or say, “I have money,” or poor? Umahi said.
“Money doesn’t have to yell to prove its worth,” he remarked.
Umahi advised Nigerians to focus more on their successes and services to the society rather than displaying wealth on social media.
The comment is coming roughly two weeks after Cubana Chief Priest blasted him on Instagram.
The socialite had described Umahi as the second-worst minister from the Southeast, urging President Bola Tinubu to dismiss him.
“The Southeast has nothing to show for having one of its own as Minister of Works” – Cubana Chief Priest had said.
